The Palms was a music theater in downtown Milwaukee. It opened as the State Theater cinema, transitioned into a danceclub, and became became the Electric Ballroom concert venue in 1975. In 1979, it was renamed the Palms and hosted a who's who of legendary acts before they became big such as Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, the Police, and Talking Heads. The Palms closed in 1986 and the building burned down in 2017.
