Got up bright and early ready for my second U2 experience (1st was Zooropa '93 Cardiff Arms Park). As you would expect I was full of
expectation for the show ahead.Travelling from south Wales on the coach was a nice change too.Anyway, got inside the stadium and we (my wife, sister and brother-in-law) were greeted by this huge yellow arch and over-sized TV - we were in for a good show.

Mission:Impossible blasted from the speakers telling us the time was near, then Pop Muzik and we were in.We were alot closer to the stage than we were at Cardiff, therefore, our view was excellent.Actually seeing the band with my own eyes was amazing.
The thundering bass of Mofo filled my soul and warmed my heart beautifully, then came I Will Follow...say no more, pure joy.
The sound was far more ellaborate than Zoo Tv
and the band,I feel, felt more at ease.
New Year's Day,Pride,Still Haven't Found + All I want is you what a musical sequence.......too good for words.

Bullet The Blue Sky gave way to Please which
drifted into Streets.Discotheque was mad,a huge Lemon???? Velvet Dress and With Or Without You were beautiful.
Then came the biggest surprise for me in the form of Hold Me,Thrill Me.
Mysterious Ways and One reminded us how great U2 really are.

It's January 2004 now but both Zoo Tv and Popmart seem like yesterday.Memories I will always cherish with all my heart.
Thanks.
