Comments: After the Space Oddity intro music, U2 plays a two-minute rock riff called 'Return of the Stingray Guitar' to start the show. Still with the house lights on, Beautiful Day is the first traditional song played. Bono sings Happy Birthday for Edge, who'll be 49 in two days, during band introductions. Bono and Edge debut a new acoustic song called North Star, followed immediately by a much louder new tune called Glastonbury. Bono sings a bit of Discotheque at the start of the Crazy remix. 'Hold Me, Thrill Me' is played for the first time since March 21, 1998, at the last show of the PopMart Tour. Two months removed from back surgery, Bono appears to go through the show full bore, and with no problems.
