The song is performed and recorded during afternoon soundcheck before a Vertigo Tour concert later in the night. The song is played several times until the band is satisfied with the performance. It airs in N. America two weeks later, on November 16, as part of a CBS-TV special, 'I Walk the Line: A Night for Johnny Cash.'
