As a long time U2 fan who has seen them on each tour since The Joshua Tree, I thought last nights show in Philly was great. Were there other songs I would have loved to hear instead of some of those that were played? Of course. But you can't go to any concert expecting all of "your" favorite songs to be performed.

U2 has 20 + years of material to choose from and of course can't satisfy everyone. But the goal of any concert is to satisfy the vast majority by playing the 'hits', plugging a band's latest release by playing songs from that cd, while throwing in some classics that long time fans konw and enjoy. I thought they did that last night.

Highlights for me were City of Blinding Lights, as it was the opener; Bullet The Blue Sky, even though others complain that they play it every tour & should be retired; Love and Peace Or Else, Where The Streets Have No Name and the accoustic version of Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of

Bono's voice was sometimes scratchy from the length of the tour & I'm sure Miss Sarajevo each night, and at the beginning of With Or Without You a drum track was playing the drums as Larry was sipping water before he then began drumming, but it was still a great U2 concert.

Can't wait to see them Wednesday & Thursday in Washington DC and next Saturday in Pittsburgh.
