lets just start by saying this day was one of the greatest days of my life and it was filled with accidents...i didnt exactly enjoy waking up at 5:30 to get on the green line (subway) to boston and it didnt help that we got lost and couldnt find the green line...some 4 hours later we find the connecting train to the fleet center and walk out into the freezing COLD rain to get our GA wristband...then we had no plans...we ended up eating at a burger king filled with homeless people until deciding to head over to the prudential center mall...upon our entrance we notice theres 20 security guards in front of barnes and nobles...my friend turns to me and goes whats all this and im like who knows its prolly some dumb author signing a book...as we get closer we realize its not a dumb author signing a book...its in fact bono signing a book...the book is basically one long conversation with the author...me and my buddy go up to a barnes and nobles clerk and ask whats going on...'bonos signing his book today' thats when i can still see our jaws hitting the floor....SO! we each go buy a copy of his book and wait in line...we were 17th and 18th in line....1:30 rolls around 4 hours later!! and bono arrives!! first time i ever met bono and i never knew how short he was...nonetheless my heart started pounding as i approached the table with the book in my hand...he looks up at me and i say 'i'll see you tonight mr hewson' while shaking his hand in an arm wrestling manner....and as im walking away i realize what i had just done....I JUST PISSED OFF BONO...so as im walking through the book stacks to catch up with my buddy we get stopped by 2 cameras asking to see our bono signature...as we both show the cameras our new signature john norris walks up to us with his MTV microphone and interviews us right there...i dont know if it got aired...prolly not but i still got interviewed by MTV!!! and met john norris..i shouldve asked for his autograph

later it was time to get in line for GA...what a bitch that was cuz it was raining and it was freezing...we were 100 and 101 in line and after waiting for 2 additional hours we get in and we are right at the tip of the ellipse...which proved to be awesome later on...kings of leon came on...funny thing is when they were playing i couldnt stand any of their songs but 2 hours after U2 got done i wanted to hear them play again..oo well

so the excitement was building and the intro started...from downloading all the bootlegs i knew how the intro went...and then the lights went out and i could see the edge playing the intro to city of blinding lights and when the song picked up, confetti fell from the ceiling and it was the most amazing sight i have ever seen

nothing too interesting happened...i got a ton of pictures of larry playing the keyboard a couple of bono hugging adam clayton...the edge kinda kept his distance from the middle of the ellipse...i didnt get a single decent picture of him

during running to stand still i tried to organize the crowd to sing 'still running, still running...etc etc' but that didnt work out how i planned it in my mind oo well what a great day!!
